Weeknotes 26-15

hiiiii okay so main things from this week: The Drama (good), RISD Unbound (cute art), ren faire (fun)

I got a film camera!! Yay! I’d been wanting the Kodak Snapic A1 and I decided to finally pick it up for my upcoming vacation. Seems like the ideal for something tiny and simple, but higher quality than a lot of the other reusable disposable-types. Something like the Lomo MC-A would have been perfect, but for 1/5th the cost I’m not complaining about my choice for sure (though, funny to even mention that when I spent 36 dollars on 3 rolls of film, so I’ll have spent the cost of the camera in like, 6 rolls + developing). I’ve only taken one photo with it so far but I’m sure I’ll be blasting through rolls next week!

I went to RISD Unbound, their annual art book fair, always love it!!! It was definitely smaller this year than previous, not sure why? But I got a few cute prints and sticker sheets :3c

I also went to a local ren faire in the middle of the city, really fun! So cool seeing the knights beat each other up lmao

I have sooooooo many thoughts about The Drama! Not every movie needs to be About Things, but this one very clearly is!!! It has an opinion about things and is very much trying to get you to agree, painting everyone who doesn’t in a pretty bad light. Which I’m into since I agree with the central thesis lmao. This whole thing is about restorative justice and the importance of forgiveness and believing that people can change for the better, which I think is a very underrated thing to believe in these days 🙂‍↕️
